with moderate to severe cognitive and physical impairments ranging from 3-26 years old.
I am certified to teach K-12 Physcial Education and Adapted Physical Education. I have a masters degree in Adapted Physical Education. I have been teaching Adapted Physical Education since 2006 through the Macomb Intermediate School District at Keith Bovenschen School. Our program includes swimming in a therapy pool, teaching-locomotor, gross motor, maniputive, sports skills, dance and movement concepts in the gym, hiking, ice skating/hockey and bowling in the community. I am lucky to work with another wonderful Adapted Physcial Education teacher Jacqueline Goosen. I am married and have two children. I am on the board of MAHPERD as teh Vice President of Recreation Division. I help coach Special Olympics soccer, floor hockey, basketball, snowshoing, track and field, and swimming. I enjoy teaching this popoulation of students and look forward to networking and learning from all of our members.
